welcome to the david oates website /// about the site
For the 2008 season David Oates will be racing in the LMA Saloon & Sports Car Championships, entering from round 4 at Brands Hatch. Having had a successful 2006 with the Vauxhall Tigra Silhouette taking Class A runner up, David has now acquired a latest spec SEAT Leon. The LMA entertains a vast diversity of desirable and fast motorsport machinery, ranging from the successful supertourers such as Ford Mondeo’s, Nissan Primera’s & Honda Accords to name a few. These cars can find themselves up against supercar marks such as Noble’s, Lotus’s & Marcos’s. With the championship being national, the series visits circuits up and down the country varying from Brands Hatch, Rockingham, Silverstone, Donnington Park and even Anglesey in Wales.
The season will be very much a learning curve with the advanced and technical Seat Leon, David having raced in a vast selection of race cars is looking forward to the challenge.

After being entered & accepted into the DMN Saloon Car Championsip for the Snetterton round of the series, the team have now learnt that the car cannot run in it’s current configuration and is effectively banned.
With this being the case David has decided to step up his plans and contest the nationally recognised LMA Saloon & Sportscar Championship run underneath the BRSCC banner.
David will be entering from the Brands Hatch round and hopes to contest the remainder of the season.
